Dog Lap Quilt – Just for Fun!

Sometimes you just need to snuggle up in a warm, soft dog quilt.  I made this quilt using the dog fabrics from my stash – I’ve got a bunch!  Then I decided to add a few black and white dog bones on top of it using just a simple raw edge applique technique.  I really love all the dog fabrics because they are so cute and colorful!  Plus the back is a dog fabric flannel.

  1. Love the fabric in this one. It is full of fun.

    • As a fellow dog lover – you can imagine how fun it is to use only your dog fabrics in one quilt! I wish it photographed better though – it is actually much, much brighter in person!

  2. This is so exciting to see because I am continuing to work on the blocks in Tula Pink’s book. I love see how you assembled your blocks, and I certainly recognize them. I really like the way you did your crosses and the inner border…great fabrics. Scrolled down thru your other posts and saw the close up of the center. It is really nice. And the little heart…precious.I have gotten into chapter two and am continuing to plug on. Dread the chapter on triangles. That will be a slow one. Here is the link to my completed first chapter blocks if you want to see them:

Love your quilts. You are so creative. genie

    • Thank you Genie! I just popped over to your site to check out your Tula Pink blocks. They look great! You have inspired me to do the Sampler approach too. 🙂 I may try to do it using a fat quarter bundle…I wonder how many blocks I’ll be able to do? Hmmm…could be lots of fun just seeing. I noticed you are working on several groups of blocks including the Vintage Quilt Blocks. I just bought that book too and love it. So many things to try! Can’t wait to see your next post and read about what you are working on. Have a wonderful day. 🙂
